LeRoy: Sophia M. Balonek 12/2/2012 Sophia Balonek of Red Mill Road LeRoy, passed away on the morning of Sunday December 2, 2012 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. Sophia was born on January 27, 1925 in Lowville, New York to the late Louis & Anna (Markiewicz) Brzezowski. She is predeceased by her husband Stephen, and siblings; Stanley, John, Stella, Lottie, Frances, and Catherine. She is survived by her daughters; Mary Ann Miller (Bob Scott) of LeRoy, Marcia Leach of Pavilion, sons; Ronald Balonek of LeRoy, Brian (Jennifer) Balonek of Churchville, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Peter's Building). Interment will immediately follow at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 44 Lake St. LeRoy 14482, or to the VA Healthcare System, 222 Richmond Ave. Batavia, NY 14020.
