Caledonia: John A. McNelis, John (Johnny Mac) 2/21/2013 John McNelis of Caledonia passed away on the evening of Thursday February 21, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. John was born on April 7, 1940 in Hornell, New York to the late Robert and Catherine (Quackenbush) McNelis. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Cheryl, children; Lynne McNelis, David McNelis, Mary Jackson, Bill McNelis, Kathleen (Ryan) Cameron, Ellen Couture, Joyce (Stephen Petronsky) McNelis, siblings; Mary Frances McKinley, William (Nancy Loper) McNelis, Bridget (David) McBride, Ellen (Michael) Eckstein, David (Mary) McNelis, James (Mary Ann Caruso) McNelis, grandchildren; Daniel, Spencer, Cole, Wade, John "Jack", Devin, Molly, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Robert McNelis. Family & friends may call at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester St. Scottsville on Sunday from 1-5PM. Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Peter's Building), 44 Lake St. LeRoy. Interment will immediately follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Caledonia.
