Genevieve M. "Jane" Christner Obituary (1914

Pavilion: Genevieve M. Christner "Jane" 12/8/2010 Genevieve Christner, formerly of Pavilion, passed away at her home in Batavia on the morning of Wednesday December 8th, 2010. Mrs. Christner was born on October 15, 1914 in Batavia, New York to the late George & Genevieve (Judge) Burns. She was a retired school teacher from the New York State School for the Blind (after 30 years), the oldest member of St. Mary's Church in Pavilion, and a member of the Ladies of Charity of St. Mary's. She is predeceased by her husband Francis (2001). Survived by children; Robert (Rosalie) Christner, Elizabeth (Robert) Stephens, Phyllis (Thomas) Dimmick, Richard (Helen) Christner, Helen (Charles) Whaley, Donald (Susan) Christner, William (Marie) Christner, Deborah (Steven) Fay, sister; Margaret Swanson, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Family & friends may call at the Cameron Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St. (Rt. 19 South) LeRoy, on Friday from 2-4, and 7-9PM. Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10AM, at St. Mary's Church, Pavilion.
