Elizabeth M. "Betty" Pursel

Lime Rock ~ Elizabeth M."Betty" Pursel, age 81, of East Main Road, died Thursday evening (Aug. 25, 2011) at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Pursel was born September 21, 1929 in Lime Rock, a daughter of the late Anthony and Esther Rigoni Mancuso. Mrs. Pursel will be remembered as a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a life long member of St. Anthony's Parish in Lime Rock. She is survived by her sons; George A. (Carol) Pursel of LeRoy, Jeffrey J. Pursel of LeRoy, and Patrick J. (Ann) Pursel of Stafford, a daughter; Marie A. (Kelly Field) Pursel of LeRoy, a brother; Murl (Jean) Mancuso of Lime Rock, grandchildren; Sarah Pursel, Jeffrey (Lindsey) Pursel, Katie (Josh) Taylor, Christy Pursel and Christopher Pursel, great-grandchildren; Rosalind and Penelope Taylor along with brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Pursel Sr. and brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Edwin (Joan) Mancuso. Family and friends are invited to attend her Rite of Christian Burial on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in East Bethany. Interment will be private in St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy.
