Edward C. Leanen

Morganville: Edward C. Leanen 7/7/2011 Edward C. Leanen, age 86, passed away on Thursday July 7, 2011 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Edward was born on October 9, 1924 in Batavia, New York to the late Frank & Amy (Phamplion) Leanen. Ed served with the U.S. Navy during World War II as a SEABEE, and was wounded on the island of Guam. He was a lifetime member of the Morganville United Church of Christ, a longtime member of the Stafford Fire Department, member of the Executive Committee for Cooperative Extension and 4-H leader, and lifetime member of the Farm Bureau. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Grace (Fox), daughter; Linda (Harry) Garner, son; Wayne (Virginia) Leanen, four grandchildren; Matthew (Sumer Shoop) Garner, Aaron (Colleen Freeman) Garner, Jennifer Hobart, Karl Leanen, two great-granddaughters; Alexis "Lexie" Hobart, and Sadie Garner, a brother Harry Leanen and a sister Mary (Leanen) Waterman, and several nieces and nephews. Family & friends may call at the Cameron Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St. (Rt. 19 South) LeRoy, on Saturday from 2-5PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday July 10, at 2PM, at the Morganville United Church of Christ.
