David G. "Smokey" Schimley Obituary (2012)

David "Smokey" Schimley, lifelong LeRoyan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Fay, daughter; Rachel Wilcox, cherished granddaughter, Sara (Mike) Schimley along with grandchildren; Samantha and Skyler Wilcox. Smokey, a highly respected electrician, served in the US Navy (Seabee Unit) and was a past Fire Chief for the Village of LeRoy. He enjoyed golfing, the Yankees, Nascar, being at home, and looked forward to deer season each year. Smokey, thank you for being a part of our lives. You were a funny man and you will be missed by all the lives you touched. God Bless You.... According to his wishes, there will be a private service which will be announced at a later date.
