Daniel Luke

Daniel “Dan” Luke, 62, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in Rochester, Dan was a man who found joy in the simple things—a fresh cup of coffee, a quiet morning spent fishing, and the satisfaction of bringing old cars back to life with his own hands. He was steady, kind, and happiest when he was with the people he loved.

Dan’s greatest pride was his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 13 years, Flora, and his children Daniel (Patricia Ramos) Luke and Stephanie (Jason) Parker. He is also survived by his mother, Thelma Luke; his brother James (Joyce Oberlin) Luke; his sister Shirley (Tom) Barney; and his cherished grandchildren Brianna Parker, Cassie (Matt) Wilson, Morgan (John Schiano), Emily Parker, Victoria Luke, Dominic Ramos, and Ian Ramos.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn Luke; his father, Earl Luke; and his brothers, Eddy and David Luke.

Dan cherished every moment spent with his family, whether sharing stories, tinkering in the garage, or enjoying a peaceful day outdoors. His easy laugh, generous spirit, and calm presence made others feel at home around him.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, December 12th, from 3-6pm, at J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester Street, Scottsville.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13th from 1-4pm, at the Smith Warren Post American Legion #367, 61 Main Street, Scottsville, where family and friends can gather to honor him and share stories of the man who meant so much to so many.
