Christina Hume

LeRoy ~ Christina Hume, age 74, of Keeney Road, died Tuesday evening (Sept. 27, 2011) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Hume was born February 10, 1937 in Batavia, a daughter of the late William and Evelyn Weiland Powers. Mrs. Hume will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister, who was a very devoted and caring provider for her family and friends. She is survived by her children; Michael (Diane) Hume of LeRoy, Tammy Hume of LeRoy, Kathleen Ellinwood of LeRoy and Patrick (Amanda) Hume of Caledonia; grandchildren; Kristen and Rachel Hume and Konnor Smith of Caledonia; brothers; Robert (Donna) Powers of Bergen and Gerald (Phyllis) Powers of Florida, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, LaVerne "Wrangler" Hume, grandson, Philip "P.J." Ellinwood Jr., brother, William Powers and sisters, Kay Powers and Dorothy Keenan. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Cameron, Brady and Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott Street (Rt 19 south), where a brief funeral service will held at 7 PM. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be private. Memorials may be made to the family for distribution to charities of their choice.
