Beatrice June Bobzin Parmelee Obituary (1919

Beatrice June Bobzin Parmelee LeRoy ~ Beatrice June Bobzin Parmelee, age 92, of Parmelee Road, entered into eternal peace on Sunday evening (Jan. 8, 2012) with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Parmelee was born Sept. 29, 1919 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Otto and Louise Wahl Bobzin. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, traveling and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing sports. She was known for making delicious pies, especially blackberry. She was also very active in her community, where she volunteered for over 25 years at the Genesee County Nursing Home and a member of many organizations which included the Stone Church Presbyterian Church, Oatka Falls Subordinate Grange, Genesee County Pomona Grange, New York State Grange, where she was a past Juvenial Deputy, the National Grange and the Bergen American Legion Auxiliary. In addition, she was a member of Genesee County Agricultural Society for which she was superintendent for the Home and Junior Departments. Mrs. Parmelee is survived by her daughters; Catherine (David) Pullyblank of LeRoy, Charlotte (Ronald) Uberty of LeRoy, Grace (Edwin) Lathan of LeRoy, Johnette Parmelee of LeRoy and Frances Shirley of LeRoy; two brothers, Robert Bobzin of Bergen and Ralph (Phyllis) Bobzin of Spencerport; two sisters, Dorothy Dilcher of Bergen and Della Thomas of Caledonia; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1984, siblings, Edward, Ronald, Richard and Ruth Casseri, and a grandson, Edwin Lathan Jr. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 ~ 7 at the Cameron, Brady and Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St. (Rt 19 south), LeRoy, where services will be held at 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Stone Church Cemetery.
