Obituary for Donald L. Norris
On April 23, 2023 at the age of 85. Predeceased by his parents Dwayne Norris and Beryl Docking. Daughter Susan Norris. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy. Children Bill (Karen) Norris, Doug Norris, and Janet (Tom) Abbott. Grandchildren; Julie (Will) Roth, Lori (Chris) Laniak, Ben (Jessica) Norris, Greg Norris (Partner Vania Lopez), Ryan Norris, Spencer Norris. Great Grandchildren; Mira, Faye, Carson, Bryce, Levi, Amelia. Brother Robert (Karen) Norris of TX.
Donald committed his life to service to his community starting as a police officer for the Town of Wheatland and retiring as the Police Chief after 30 years. He was also member of the Union Presbyterian Church for 50 years, the Scottsville Lions Club for 60 years, and the Oatka FA &M 759 for 50 years.
Don enjoyed his retirement by spending winters in Florida for 18 years.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be in Donald's name to the Scottsville Loins Club; 8 Blaydon Loop W. Heneritta, NY 14586.
