Obituary for Richard P. Korhumel

SCOTTSVILLE - May 7, 2022 at age 88. He is survived by his children Timothy (Nancy) Korhumel of NJ, Daniel Korhumel of Brockport, Sandra (Jason) Cole of Macedon, Grandson David Korhumel of WA. Brother in Law Dean (Patricia) Potter of NC. Sisters In Law: Sharon (Tom) Farrell of Livonia, Gail Potter of Lakeville, Barbara Potter-West of NC.Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Shirley Korhumel, and his beloved grand-daughter Jessica Korhumel.

A very private, kind, and loving person; he took the family on numerous trips; participated in school events and had many, many hobbies that he would gladly talk about with anyone who was interested. He was devoted to Grace Church, held various leadership positions along with other roles for over 50-years. Through his work at General Railway Signal, he developed a love for trains. While researching various railways he discovered the connection between trains and canals, which also became an interest for him. Eventually, he would explore the history of covered bridges throughout New England and would travel to visit many of them.

Cameron Funeral Home 26 Rochester St. Scottsville.His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1 PM at Grace Episcopal Church, Scottsville.
