Elaine Brooks Booten, 95, of LeRoy, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at the home of her daughter.
Elaine was born on July 26, 1926, in Washington D.C., to the late Arthur Edward Brooks and Ruth Steverson Brooks. She was predeceased by her brothers: Jerome Brooks, Wilfred Brooks, and sister Oma Brooks Scott.
Elaine graduated from LeRoy Central School Class of 1944. She worked for Chloride Electro Networks, attended Second Baptist Church- Mumford N.Y., enjoyed working crossword puzzles, and reading about Black History. She also enjoyed her daily morning walks around town, which she did up until her illness.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Sherman McKinley Booten, in 2021. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Booten LaClair, a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and several dear friends.
Family and Friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Saturday 10 AM May 21, 2022 at Machpelah Cemetery, 71 North St. LeRoy, N.Y.
