David M. Gaffney, born September 7, 1973 passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2021. Beloved son and brother to parents, predeceased William and Edna, and surviving sisters, Theresa Oliver and Patricia (Agostino) Ranieri. Cherished Uncle to 4 nieces, 1 nephew, and ten great-nieces and nephews.
David was cherished by all those he knew, a caring friend (or "dude" as he would say) who enjoyed playing games of all types - cards, board games and video games. He loved music and was continually immersing himself in and falling in love with different genres. Anything that connected with him on a spiritual and emotional level was an awakening experience for him, Latino music was his jam of late. He also enjoyed nature walks and reading.
David’s love of reading led him to explore and consider many spiritual concepts, as well as advanced mathematics and physics. He was very welcoming of hearty debates, where anyone, regardless of their beliefs was welcomed, appreciated and respected as an equal.
David was a quiet soul, great friend and will be missed by those touched by his life. Family and friends will share in a celebration of life at a Oatka Creek Park on September 17 from 1 to 4 PM.
