January 17, 2021 at age 100. Predeceased by her parents, Richard and Virginia Phillips, sisters, Ethel and Virginia, brothers, Richard and Milton. She is survived by her husband of seventy-four years, Ret. Lt. Col. Thomas J. Moore, her sister, Barbara Ann Jones, three sisters-in-law, Jean Kenney, Jacqueline Hopkins and Judith Henry, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Florence was a retired registered nurse and a graduate of Lincoln School for Nurses in New York City. She worked for Dr. Charles T. Lunsford of Rochester for several years; She had a variety of nursing positions worldwide, due to her husband’s military assignments; and her final position before retirement was with the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Florence was well traveled, and she spent many years teeing up on golf courses in the Rochester area and across the nation.
Mrs. Florence Hill Phillips Moore will be missed and remembered by all who loved her.
Service and interment will be held privately. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity in Florence’s name.
