Morag, Denise and Jacque, I’m sorry for the loss of your Mom.
I grew up in Scottsville, the youngest of seven children. We knew Mary as “Mrs. Livingstone”, our bus driver. Mary delivered all seven of us to school each morning and safely home again every day from 1975-1990.
Mary ran a tight “ship” / bus. You always knew what was expected; the rules were simple: Be punctual. Behave. Be kind.
Mrs. Livingstone’s route was not easy. Twice a day, each day, Mary covered a lot of ground: St. Agnes, McQuaid, Aquinas, Rochester School For The Deaf, Park Ridge Rehabilitation Services and School No. 1.
Pre-Dawn pick ups. Dark evening drop offs. Fortunately, Mrs. Livingstone empathized with her passengers. Mary drove those roads. Mary knew the time her “kids” spent commuting to and from school each day. She did everything she could to abbreviate their idle time. Mary mastered navigating Downtown traffic in a school bus! Mary would see an opportunity in her side-view-mirror: down-shift, grab a vacant lane and accelerate within the blink of an eye – in a school bus, no less! She could have been a NASCAR driver.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your Mom was a wonderful person.

Jacque. . . please know how sorry we were to learn of your Mom's passing. We had just seen her recently, on a walk. and we stopped to chat with her for a bit. So thankful we did. Please know that you and yours are in our thoughts and prayers as you walk this journey. Leslie and David

So sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. I have a lot of good memories of her both as my bus driver, when I was in the bagpipe band, and when I was at your house. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time.
