Obituary for Robert L. Thompson
WELLSVILLE/ SCOTTSVILLE - On May 21, 2019 after a valiant battle with cancer at age 88. Predeceased by his wives, Marion and Charlene Thompson. He is survived by his loving children, Nancy (Kevin) Cochran, Nadine (Richard Eaton) Offen, Mark, Bobby (Helen), Richie Thompson, Nanette Kaples, Billy (Kristen) Thompson, Morine Davies, Norine Straub and Merrill Thompson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Torpey and Phyllis (Jerry) Lang; brother, Ronald (Cheryl) Thompson; many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a past fire chief of Scottsville Fire Department. He retired from Delco as a crane operator and worked as a roofer for Leo J. Roth & Co. Robert loved the outdoors, nature and his Cat snowball, but mostly he loved his family and would do anything for anyone who needed his help.
Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 PM at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester St, Scottsville where his Funeral Service will be held following calling hours at 7 PM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scottsville Fire Dept., 22 Main St. Suite 3, Scottsville., NY 14546.
