Passed away March 5, 2019 Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Irene Ivanick, and dear friend and traveling companion Carol Giunta. Survived by her sister Gail (Bernie) Perry, nephews Timothy (Deborah) Perry, Thomas (Heather LaRuez) Perry, and niece Diane (Gregory) Stevely, great nephews Matthew Boyce, Nathaniel and Jonathan Perry, Connor Stevely and Logan Perry; great niece Morgan June Stevely, Uncle Joseph Ivanick, dear friend of many years and travel companion, Barbara Buckingham, many cousins, and wonderful friends.
June was the Valedictorian of her Wheatland-Chili class of 1958, and a graduate of The University of Rochester, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree at SUNY Albany. She was a dedicated teacher with the Rochester City School District for 32 years and remained very active after her retirement with the Rochester Retired Teachers Association-serving as Vice President and Assembly Representative. June was an avid volunteer for many organizations including Heritage Christian Services, Hope Hall and Mary Carriola Children’s Center. June was a world traveler; and took many trips and cruises that brought her to every continent. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends; she will be missed immensely. The family would like to thank Edna Tina Wilson Living Center and Unity hospital for their wonderful care and compassion they showed June and our family.
Friends and family may call Tuesday 5-8 PM at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home 26 Rochester St, Scottsville. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday 10 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church 9 Browns Ave, Scottsville. Spring interment Oatka Cemetery, Scottsville.
