Obituary for Eloise Pauline Uhly

Eloise Pauline   Uhly
Eloise Pauline Uhly, of LeRoy, NY, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Village Green Nursing home in LeRoy, a week before her 91st birthday.
Born on April 21, 1927, she was the daughter of Paul and Ethel VanNorway. Eloise was predeceased by her dear husband, Walter H. Uhly, who she married on November 22, 1947.
Eloise was a 1944 graduate of Ontario, NY High School. She graduated from Rochester Business Institute with a business/secretarial degree. She retired from Genesee Memorial Hospital after working in the Medical Records Department for many years. She later enjoyed her volunteer work at the Genesee Country Museum in Mumford, NY. Eloise was an active member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, LeRoy, NY, and was a past member of the Church Choir there. She was a member of the Friendly Club, the Poplar Corners Home Bureau, the Pavilion Young at Heart group, and a past member of the Grange. She loved her home and family, reading, music, and crafting.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Linda (Richard) Toulson and George (Catherine) Uhly, and grandchildren Katrina Uhly (husband, Christian), Laura Uhly (husband John Swinton), Diana (Brett) Shirley, Andrew (Elizabeth) Toulson, Ethan (Christa) Toulson, Abigail (Joshua) Peck, Seth Toulson, Oren Toulson, and Ariel (Scott) Brotherton, ten great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leo and Harry VanNorway.
Calling hours for Eloise will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Cameron, Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St., LeRoy, NY 14482. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life for Eloise, to be held at 11 am, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the 1st Presbyterian Church, 7 Clay St., LeRoy, NY 14482.
