Norman (Norm) Charles West died unexpectedly on June 9, 2017 in West Henrietta, New York at the age of 68. Norman is survived by his daughter Tracy L West (Jason Jones) and grandson Alexander R Jones; Tracy's mother, Cindy Zay (Lenny); brothers Lynn E West (Betty) and Lee A West (JoLee); nephews Sean West (Cindy), Chris West (Patti), Michael West and niece Heather Wheeler (Jeff); and many local friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Mildred E and Charles E West of Montoursville, Pennsylvania.
Norman was born on March 23, 1949 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Montoursville High School in 1967, enlisting in the United States Army and graduating from Williamsport Community College. After moving to Rochester, New York in 1975, he began working for Eastman Kodak as an Electronics Technician until his retirement.
Norm loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting, fishing and boating. He also found great pleasure cooking for his sportsman friends. He especially enjoyed the annual fly fishing trip to Pennsylvania with his brothers, family and friends.
On Saturday, June 17, 2017, friends and family will come together at Dribbles Sports Bar & Pizzeria to celebrate all the joy and laughter that Norm brought into our lives. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 20.
