Message: I was blessed to have Janet come into my life when she married my father and became my stepmother-the mother I didn't know I needed-and I loved her so very much. I watched as she and my father found a second chance at love later in their lives, watched them create a new love story after their first loves had passed into Heaven, watched as they danced into their sunset years with grace and joy and laughter. Janet, with 5 children of her own, welcomed 5 more, plus grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She allowed us into her home and her heart so graciously. She loved us all and we loved her. My prayer is that both of her husbands, the loves of her life, reached down from the heavens as she slept, and together lifted her up into the arms of God.

Message: I will forever cherish Janet. Her heart was so much huger than her little body, and the wisdom and love she held and shared meant more to me than I can articulate. When my dad brought her into our family, I fell in love immediately. She loved my father and he was crazy in love with her and that was all I needed. But it was soon clear that her heart was so big that there was room enough for a second husband and a passel of his grown kids without taking a smidgeon away from her love of her first husband, her children, and the life she lived before Dad. What a treasure she was! I loved our talks and lunches and most of all I loved to hug her. Her sweetness was contagious and healing and I will thank God every day for the nearly 20 years of joy and happiness that she gave our father and just for letting me know and love her.
