Obituary for Edward J. "Ted" Bransfield

Bransfield, Edward J.“Ted” Scottsville:
Passed away on September 13, 2017. Ted was born on November 24, 1937 in New York City and is predeceased by his parents, Edward J. Bransfield and Agnes Sullivan (Archibald Veghte); and sister, Margaret “Peg” (George) Wood. He is survived by his nephew, Michael (Ann) Wood; long-time partner, Patty-Jo Davin and her children, Edward (Adelina) and Jan.

Ted arrived in Scottsville in 1950 with his family and lived on “the farm” for over 60 years. A fiercely independent, multi-talented soul, Ted loved his cars, guns and freedom. He was a great intellect and attended MIT before serving in the US Army National Guard from 1962-1968. Ted also operated Ed’s Garage for many years and served as the building inspector for the towns of Wheatland and Gates before his retirement. The family would like to thank the wonderful, supportive team at Legacy Maiden Park where Ted lived before his passing. In addition, many thanks to the Jewish Home and Highlands as Brighton for their continuing care over the last few months.

Friends may call Tuesday 9:30-10:30AM with his Funeral Service to follow calling at 10:30AM at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester St., Scottsville. Interment Holy Angels Cemetery, Scottsville. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
