This is Mrs. Steverson's sixth grade when I was in her class. She had a real gift for inspiring her students to be their best. She encouraged my artistic talent, my reading and writing, and gently guided me to join Colorguard thinking it would help this shy kid come out of her shell. In Room 302 I remember building castles, carving an Egyptian sarcophagus out of wood, making a kinetic "junk" sculpture (that she proudly displayed in the hallway!), and writing my autobiography. Even now I still have some of the projects I made in her class. She was a wonderful teacher and an amazing person.
