Evalene E. Tapp

EAST BETHANY — Evalene E. Tapp, 68, of East Bethany died Saturday (Aug. 31, 2013) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.

She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Retty Smith of Caledonia, and sons, Kevin Tapp of Linwood and Larry Tapp of Pavilion.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Tapp of East Bethany; grandsons, Robert Tapp of Batavia and William Tapp of Cobleskill; mother-in-law, Margaret Tapp of Genesee County Nursing Home; sisters, Elsie Knapp of Le Roy, Flossie (Lester) Scutt of Geneseo, Ann (Harry) Pierson of Mulberry, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Evalene worked at Target of Le Roy until it moved out of the area, also at Kraft and the Canning Factory until illness forced her to retire. She loved trying out new recipes and kept busy with her sewing and crafts.
